Matrimonial Finance Consequent on Divorce: The English Structure

The Matrimonial Proceedings and Property Act 1970 (U.K.) made considerable changes to the English law of matrimonial finance. Joseph Jackson reviews the historical background and recent developments with respect to the Act and discusses the effect of this legislation on the courts 'determination of the financial consequences of divorce. The relevant case law is examined and comments of the English Law Commis sion are summarized.Downloads
